I like food a lot.

I’ve been eating food for a very long time. I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants all over the place. I ate meat for 32 years, then vegetarian-only for almost 3 years, then went 100% vegan. So I know what food tastes like and the difference between good and bad (everything.) I wouldn’t even consider making a list of my least favorite restaurants because what a waste of time that would be! Instead, I thought I’d waste my time (and maybe yours) by making a list of my Top 10 Favorite Restaurants in 2012.

#10 Hill Street Cafe in Oceanside, CA
Different type of restaurant, a historical landmark of Oceanside. Nice people and great food.

#10 The Yellow Deli
Discovered this restaurant March 12, 2013. It's great, more later...

#9 Killer Pizza From Mars (www.killerpizzafrommars.com)
If you were born in the 70's and you like food you'll like this restaurant. I liked it before I was vegan, and after.

#8 The Privateer
New restaurant in 2012 on the Coast Highway in Oceanside. The food is really awesome and the people are also awesome.

#7 The Old Spaghetti Factory
I've been to the one in Louisville Kentucky, Cincinnati Ohio, Saint Louis Missouri, San Marcos California and San Diego California. Each restaurant has character and class, while not being expensive. Try the minestrone soup, it's vegan.

#6 Sipz Fusion Cafe
This restaurant is 100% Vegetarian and has very clean silverware, as well as low prices. Been here twice and both times the food knocked us out in a good way. Prices are reasonably low and they even have a vegetarian sushi menu after 5pm every day. I can't wait til we're in Clairmont Mesa after 5pm so we can check that out. This restaurant easily takes 3rd4th place.

#5 Evolution Fast Food
100% vegan and awesome. Go there if you're interested in that kind of thing. I wish it was in Oceanside.

#4 Loving Hut
Been to both San Diego locations several times. The food always tastes awesome, very well-prepared. The best part about this place is that everything is 100% VEGAN, even the desserts. It's refreshing to see a place showcase great food without having to bother or kill animals to get any of it. Really awesome food, and they are trying to make the world a better place by promoting 100% veganism. The prices are reasonably low and the staff is friendly. I love Loving Hut.

#3 Native Foods Cafe
Discovered this restaurant in early February 2013, and went there 9 or 10 times in under 40 days. Remember, I'm completely insane. Try anything at this 100% vegan restaurant. You won't be disappointed, and you probably won't believe that it's vegan. (Unless you're already vegan.) Anyway, you'll like the food so much that you'll want to come back for more. If you get caught looking at someone’s food you can just act like you were looking at something else, it’s so easy.

#2 Real Foods Daily
In Pasadena, CA. This restaurant made me feeling like Bill Murray did in "What About Bob" during the dinner scene. More later, I'm tired, but this restaurant briefly held the #1 spot of my world-famous top ten restaurant list, but was soon toppled by:

#1 Crossroads
More later, I can't summarize and it's past midnight, but I wanted to update this list to show that Tal Ronnen's new restaurant is my favorite restaurant of all time.
